redbird cafe is a true labor of love and the expression of a heartfelt passion for great food sourced from local growers and purveyors.

redbird cafe has a personality unto itself, and one that hopefully you will find warm, inviting, comforting and fun!​

It is important that we know where our food comes from, that it tastes delicious, and that eating it is an enjoyable and quite possibly a memorable experience;

food is central to most of our social interactions. These are fundamental tenets of the slow food movement, so that is what we mean when we talk about 'slow food'.

Food is given the opportunity to grow (or be raised) as it is intended, it has been prepared for you in simple and often elegant ways. We now invite you to the table to fully enjoy both the food and the experience with whomever you are in the company of.

Why 'redbird cafe'?

Because a redbird is our state bird; a bird that does not migrate,  is fairly social and joins flocks that may include birds of another species. With our focus on locally sourced ingredients and building community through food, it seemed only fitting.
